A New Chapter

Eric is now beginning his dream of ownership. Eric has been with Auto Advisors for nine years and served as Shop Foreman under Brian’s ownership. When it was time to consider passing the torch, Brian knew that Eric was the right person for the job. He shares Brian’s philosophy that Auto Advisors is much like the primary care provider for their customers’ vehicles. With regular wellness visits for your vehicle, they keep you informed of its overall health and advise you on its needs based on your long-term plans. When it is time for repairs and maintenance, they will always let you know what you need now and what can wait. Their ultimate goal is to keep you and your family safe on the road.

Eric and Kelsey are thrilled to take the wheel at Auto Advisors and continue its mission. They are deeply committed to providing the same level of professional customer service and quality repairs, all with the highest level of honesty and integrity.

From Woods to Open Doors

Auto Advisors was founded in 2001 by Brian Kane. At that time, after more than a decade of management positions, Brian decided it was time to bring his business concept and ideals to his community. He purchased land on Georges Mills Road and built Auto Advisors from the ground up, opening the doors in 2002. His wife, Dianne Chadwick, officially joined him at the shop in 2011, and together they found great joy not only in providing repair and maintenance services, but even more so in the relationships and friendships they developed with their customers.

Philosophy

As a family man and veteran of the US Army, Brian maintained the importance of honesty and integrity; traits he brought to the shop every day. His philosophy was that Auto Advisors was much like a doctor for their customers’ vehicles; hence the tagline, “We’re the Primary Care Provider for all your automotive needs, keeping you and your family safe on the road.” He believed in keeping the big picture in mind when it came to the health of his customers’ cars, never forcing repairs that weren’t immediate needs. Brian was notorious for talking customers out of doing repairs when the cost was no longer economically advantageous.

The Pantry Project

When considering a holiday giving campaign in 2011, Brian and Dianne decided to collect non- perishables for the Kearsarge Lake Sunapee Food Pantry. In a conversation with The First Baptist Church in New London, they were saddened to learn that it was difficult to keep the shelves full. Brian knew first-hand how this experience affects families, having grown up with 6 siblings during financially difficult years. Knowing the need was great all year long, Brian and Dianne decided to make the giving campaign a permanent fixture at Auto Advisors, and The Pantry Project was born.

A Fork in the Road

As a blended family, Brian and Dianne raised their four children in the Kearsarge district- Bailey, Ellie, Madison and Will. The youngest graduated from high school in 2018, and by 2024, they began thinking about what was next. They knew they would reach a fork in the road at some point in the near future. Along came the conversation with Eric LeClair. Eric had been with Auto Advisors for nine years and served as Shop Foreman under Brian’s ownership. When it was time to consider passing the torch, Brian knew that Eric was the right person for the job. He shares Brian’s philosophy, values, and commitment to doing what’s right for customers, first and foremost.

With that, Eric and his wife, Kelsey Redpath, became the new owners on October 1, 2025. Brian and Dianne are delighted to see the next generation take the wheel, and knowing that it will remain a family run shop is the icing on the cake.
